I guess there was a reason for the 92 health inspection grade on the wall at the host table. Upon arrival, service was slow and our orders incorrect. But worst than anything else were the dirty utensils and cups. We were guided to sit down at a dirty table with leftover spilled salt and crumbs on it. Guess the waitress didnt mind us having to use our bare hands to brush the dirty table off from someone elses leftovers because she sure didnt do anything to rectify it as she watched us. I had the pleasure of visiting Cracker Barrel for the first time ever, in North Carolina. Since the seats fill up fast, I went ahead and joined the waiting list online. It said that I had to wait 15 minutes. I headed inside,we were seated quickly and the hostess let us know the server’s name. Quick dinner then back on the road. Our food came out fast and hot and our server was friendly and efficient. So happy we can count on Cracker Barrel while traveling.
Returned to the best breakfast spot around. Pancakes, bacon and hash brown casserole was cooked perfectly. Attentive waitress too.
We were on a little vacation and Cracker Barrel was right near our hotel in Roanoke Rapids, NC. We decided to go for dinner and they did not disappoint. The hostess was a little overwhelmed when she had to sit a party of 8, but after that it was all up hill. Food was great, cooked just the way we asked, our server as really on top of everything and she was busy, but all her customers were getting great service. For the two of us for dinner it did not break the bank, under $40 and that included a generous tip.
