The waiter means well but is too easily distracted. I understand getting food out hot, but if it isn't correct, it's a no go! My steak was med well not med rare, disappointing. The pancake latte was excellent and my shrimp was great as well! The ladies in the general store were friendly and helpful.
Food was good, except they forgot the sauce on the maple bacon chicken. The service was excellent. The atmosphere was fine except we were seated between two different families. They were no problem, but we were all too close and there seemed to be plenty of tables available.
The service was great. The food on the other hand was not. The mashed potatoes cold. The biscuits were hard. The green beans were the worst crap I have ever eaten at Cracker Barrel. This was the third time the food has been subpar. But now I feel it’s time to not go back. Maybe in a year or so. Sorry for the honesty.
This was my first time being at a newly renovated cracker barrel. I grew up with the old farm tools on the walls and just the very 'country' aesthetic, but I will say the update is really nice. The lighting is 10x better, and the fact that there are now booths instead of just tables? I love that. I only docked a star because the server was overbooked and the kitchen didn't have enough utensils to keep up with the amount of people in the restaurant (lots of large groups). Over the years I have been to plenty of Cracker Barrel locations and have had the pleasure to be taken care of by plenty of wonderful servers, but this location has the absolutely best one that I, or my family, have ever had. Alyssa, the server in question, continually provides absolute 10/10 service whenever my family and I come in.
