I recently dined at Cracker Barrel in Trussville and had an outstanding experience thanks to the excellent service. Our server was fantastic! Spent $32.93 for cold food, very small portions, tried new for fall item "fried apple french toast" - what I got was nothing like description nor the picture - no fried apples on top & no streusel on top. My Pot Roast meal was delicious! The meat was tender and very flavorful. The steamed broccoli was exactly as I like it - bright green color and not overcooked. We came into the restaurant from our tour bus, so it was a large party. We were greeted warmly and seated quickly and efficiently. Where to start? Wanted a veggies plate, out of pinto beans! How does that happen? Wanted lemon with tea, had to ask server twice and they weren't busy. Brought meal, didn't bring bread. Server said it was coming out of the oven. When it got there it was cold. Couldn't have just came out of oven. Ready to end unpleasant visit, took forever to get server's attention to get check. Quick seating, quick ordering, great service. Dedicated RV / trailer pull through spaces, and the parking lot is pretty easily maneuvered with a trailer. Orange juice was warm. 😝 Biscuits are amazing. Eggs, grits, ham all excellent!
