This place served an absolutely amazing breakfast today! I had the Strawberry Cheesecake Pancakes with Bacon and Over-Medium Eggs and it was cooked and presented perfectly. Especially proud of the accuracy of the Over-Medium. My server was fast and friendly and there was very little wait time. Also, it's great that these locations allow overnight parking and are open early, early in the morning.
We love going to this Cracker Barrel location. The food is great and so is the service. One of their employees, Norm, added so much to our experience today. He was smiling from the moment we walked in, allowed us to make a recommendation for a specific table, and took the time to ask us about our day. He was very welcoming and friendly and we would definitely recommend this location! Be sure to say hi to Norm while you’re there! I would definitely nominate him for a promotion to manager!
It has been a while since our last visit to Cracker Barrel. We stopped at the one in Brentwood, TN near Cool Springs Mall. Overall, it was a good experience. The server and supporting staff were efficient and friendly. I like that they have different staff who bring out your food instead of your waitress/waiter. The food was good though it lacks a "robustness" compared to several years ago. I partly blame the cost of food for this. I would eat here again, but it would not necessarily be a first choice. When I order a 10oz steak, I expect for there to be some marbling, but I don't expect about 15% of the steak to be complete, solid fat. When I was served my steak, the whole bottom portion was total fat. When I pointed this out to the manager, I was told that this is typical for steak... no offer to replace it or discount...just acted like I don't know what a good steak should look like. I have ordered the same steak at other Cracker Barrels and they did not look like this.
I have been a long-time customer and fan of Cracker Barrell. On this recent visit the food was excellent as was the service. I mentioned to the hostess my family was there for lunch after attending my granddaughter's baptism. She re-laid this to the manager and my granddaughter received VIP treatment with free cake and congratulations.
