A very nice restaurant. Good food and folksy atmosphere. We were seated quickly and had a great waitress. The food arrived quickly and was delicious. I've never had a bad experience eating at any Cracker Barrel and always look forward to having meals there, breakfast, lunch or dinner.
We love Cracker Barrel and we stop at them a lot while traveling. We were on our way back home and seen this location and decided to stop for brunch, which ended up being a very bad decision. Everything was extremely overcooked, biscuits burnt, thin, and hard as hockey pucks as you can see in the picture, pancakes were the same color as the biscuits, grits were lumpy and so thick they stuck to the spoon, and chicken dippers and fried steak were hard as a rock and dark brown as if the grease had not been changed in a week. Ordered a trio sampler ( chicken dumplings , meatloaf and fried chicken with pintos, greens and cornbread) as a Togo order as I was only passing thru and wanted a good country Sunday lunch.One of my entree choices was unavailable (the dumplings) and I was offered a double portion of one of the other items (I chose double meatloaf). We know this Cracker Barrel is known for being subpar in our area, but it had been a few years since we had went. And it will hopefully be many more, honestly they should just close, it’s the worst. The biscuits were absolutely ridiculous hard as a rock and so dry they kinda crumble. I went specially on my birthday for the chocolate cake, but they were all out (at noon). They substituted peach cobbler, but I was still disappointed. The Friday fish fry was good and the mac-n-cheese delicious as always, but my husband ordered the country fried steak and they were all out of white gravy. Did we just show up at a bad time?
