Good food Good food at okay prices. But watch for the upsale. on just about everything ordered the waitress tried to get us to order more or bigger for just a little bit more. Loved the big fireplace. Found the country store annoying when asked to wait 10 minutes and having 5 kids to control. Portions were small.
Friendly Staff even on Thanksgiving This is the second year that we drove to Chicago to have a little early shopping and stopped at this Cracker Barrel to eat on the way to Thanksgiving dinner. First time at a Cracker Barrel Very good food, service and prices. Although I have a Cracker Barrel locally, this was my first time at one. It was across the street from the Econo-Lodge that we stayed at so we walked there.
always good This is a staple in any community, and I love the food at this one. I love the breakfast with catfish, grits, biscuits, and cooked apples. It is delicious, the price is good, but don't stop there the greens, cornbread, chicken and other entrees will not dissappoint you.

Home away from home Any meal you have here is great. The shops, gifts, and the decorations inside the store are great. Every Cracker Barrel is a step to the past.

Horrible service What happened here? Food used to be primo. Now very hit or miss. Teeny portions also, esp of has brown casserole. My waitress looked like she'd just jumped out of bed. That's it for me.
