Those dumplings were DELICIOUS!! They were perfectly seasoned and had large hunks of tender chicken in them. Just like my mother used to make when I-was a child!! I will certainly order Chicken and dumplings again!!
Everything was hot yummy and correct right down to remembering the ice cream for the cobbler. (they use to forget it a lot)
The portions were large, food arrived hot, no mistakes and everything had good flavor. We had the Sunday Home-styledchicken and shrimp dinners. It was delicious!
I figured our last encounter was a fluke and honestly were addicted to Cracker Barrel so it didn't take long before we ordered again. Just as I suspected... Food was amazing. Perfectly cooked and fresh. Nothing was missing and was packaged great.
What food arrived, was 50/50. The cracker Barrel sampler was missing the chicken and dumplings and side of fried apples, although the order bag was completely sealed. The Grandmas breakfast (sides) were burnt beyond edible (even though I marked easy cooked). Not burnt beyond my standards, the sausage and bacon were completely burnt-as in our overweight Dalmatian wouldn't eat it. Pancakes were phenomenal. Food overall was good. Fried chicken was grossly over cooked making the meat dry and skin too hard to eat, but sides were delicious. Pancakes were really good along with the bacon was cooked exactly as we asked. I tried ordering items from the store side, but was not put in the bag and a question mark was written on the receipt so I wouldn't recommend ordering those items. The food is delicious but they always mess up the order...They never give me all my food!
chicken salad had stale croutons, lots of yellow lettuce, and chicken was a little dry. meatloaf dinner had no issues.
the gravy was extremely salty
