All Cracker Barrels rock Every Cracker Barrel I've been to has the same wonderful, fun environment which is always a joy. I have purchased many things in the shop. As to the food, it is good home cooking but not outta this world. We stop at CBs all over because we know what we'll get and it is always good, with friendly staff.
I love the blackberry topping for the pancakes and french toast I go there for the atmosphere (fireplace) and the topping. It does seem like something is wrong each time we go though, Under cooked eggs or french toast, items coming out incomplete, having to wait for coffee refills, etc.
Same Old Thing - In this case, that's good Cracker Barrel continues to offer tasty fare in sizable portions at reasonable prices. One feature I have taken advantage of is the Senior servings on the menu. Example: I'm a fan of Chicken-fried Steak. The "regular" serving offers two portions of steak while (at a reduced price) the "senior" offering is a single portion. Just -might- leave room for that...
loved the food and the atmosphere We loved this place (and were surprised that there aren't more recent reviews of it). Great food, generous portions, good service, reasonable price. Liked it so much, that we sought out other Cracker Barrels in Amish country -- and found them!
