Excellent mgmt. Therefore staff are great, trained, polite, kind, not insolent. They check on you too. Like I said, trained. This stuff doesn't just happen. Kitchen is excellent too...consistent, fast paced but not fast food. Real foods in real menu with wide assortment of veggies, & including grilled trout, N.Atlantic cod, fried catfish & haddock. Where else you going to find this for any price, let alone under $15 incl. Tax and decently nice tip? Awesome chicken pot pie and breakfast all day.
Eat, shop & relax at this down-home cookin' restaurant! You can't drive through the South without stopping for some great breakfast, lunch or even dinner at the Cracker Barrel. Most folks around here will give directions by the Crackel Barrels located at the exits or at least recommend that you stop at one to walk around, eat & shop before getting back on the road. Good ol' country cookin'! Cracker Barrel is, in my non-native southern opinion, THE best country food restaurant there is! I haven't had any better at other restaurant's like this. My favorite dish there is the Chicken Fried Chicken with mashed potatoes and country gravy. I just can't get enough. Their other items are very delicious as well so try everything! They also have good clam chowder, but it's a daily special so it's not there every day. :( You can't go wrong here though!
Cracker Barrel Old Country Store Love the atmosphere of the store and resturant and the fireplace is the finishing touch. With that said, the wait-staff is not the best. The last 4 experiences in this particular store has been very poor. The orders are wrong and it has taken forever to get our food. Even with the not so wonderful service at this location we continue to go to it and many others due to the appeal and draw of the company.
