First visit, last visit. Asked for a medium-rare steak, got a well-done chew toy served with A-1 on standby, like they knew... Cornbread was pure sawdust even after drowning it in butter and jelly. My mother's “shrimp bowl” came with 6 lonely shrimp. Staff was friendly and the country store looked cool, so I’ll give two stars for the people. But the kitchen? Crackle Barrel I love meat loaf and I've had better the gravey tasted a bit different but pepper fix it a bit, the Mac n Cheese was good not great but Good, I wanted the 4 piece south fried chicken I guess it will be the next time I am in the area. The Hostess was nice and the place is very relaxing, plus plenty of parking.
This Cracker Barrel is unsanitary. The hostess had to wipe crumbs off the seat before I could sit down. There were crumbs, straw wrappers, & paper on the floor. Crumbs on the side of the table. And the flies! 😡 There were 2 flies constantly flying towards my table. Add to the fact that only 1 woman was cleaning, but she only cleaned 1 table the whole time I was there. If I could give ZERO stars, I would. This was hands down one of the worst dining experiences I’ve ever had. We came at 1:00 p.m. and ordered Campfire Beef and Campfire Chicken. First, we were told they only had chicken, and beef would take 30 minutes. Fine. My son and I ordered bacon cheeseburgers instead. I had an extremely disappointing experience with my recent Cracker Barrel order. The portion sizes were shockingly small, and the food arrived cold. To make matters worse, the orange juice wasn’t even sealed for pickup, which raised serious concerns. The eggs were super runny and barely edible. Overall, the quality fell far below expectations.
