I Love when they have the fireplace lit. Food was good. Waitress friendly and kept up with our drinks.
The food was delicious! My husband loved the strawberry cheesecake pancake, and I loved my dumplings. The waitress was friendly, attentive, and capable. I know the restaurant had nothing to do with this, but we had the cutest little boy across from us who kept us entertained the whole time with his friendly conversation. So it was a perfect visit for us.
The food tasted good; I had the pot pie and my husband had fried shrimp with 2 sides. My food was only lukewarm and is rarely piping hot as it should be just about every time we go there. The service was adequate but we had to wait a long time for the check. Our table wasn’t particularly clean as there were discarded butter packets on the table and some biscuit crumbs. It's country style/home style breakfast food. The previous time I sat down, I was lost in the waiting queue for almost 40 minutes before rectified so left a bit of a sour note but the food was served hot and to the spec. The gravy has not had much sausage in IMO the last few times but the staff have always been approachable and happy to help if asked. Great to go for a breakfast meal, but be warned that there can be a significant wait time at key times of the day
If you have not yet tried the Saturday-only special BBQ Ribs, fix your life and get there! It is straight up amazing! And our server, Courtney did a great job, too! Oh, and the Strawberry Icebox Cake was fantastic!
