Great breakfast and mostly friendly service. French toast and eggs were delicious. They offer Impossible (veg based) breakfast sausage which was an unexpected surprise. Went on two weekday mornings while staying at hotel nearby, no wait for seating and place was pretty empty.
Great food, and the store is awesome! The big easy steak and shrimp were good, but they needed a bit more cajun flavor. Once done eating, relax in the rocking chairs before hitting the road.
We ordered the Chicken and dumplings family meal to eat at home. The food was NOT up to the standards we have come to love at Cracker Barrel. The chicken and dumplings tasted like they used over salted canned chicken (if you’ve eaten canned chicken, you know the taste), the green beans tasted liked they opened a can (no extra flavoring) and the mac and cheese had so much breadcrumbs and bacon, you couldn’t even taste the cheese! Very good food. We got the NY Strip steak with chicken and the same but with Shrimp. Extremely nicely done. My medium rare was done right and my wife's medium was done exactly as requested. And the chicken - which I am really picky about - was absolutely juicy without being raw. All that in a nice cozy and friendly atmosphere. They deserve all the kudos.
We stopped at this Cracker Barrel for dinner but ordered breakfast. Our server was very attentive but it took a long time to get our food. When we finally did, we enjoyed our meals. The country store part of the restaurant was fun to browse around. They have so many interesting and unique items.
