Love this place! The to-go process is easy, and parking is sufficient. Everyone I encountered (on both visits) was so nice! My dine-in experience was great. My food arrived quickly. I was served by Mrs. Dana, and she was great! I bought the cutest pair of earrings for under $20, and chatted with Mrs.Janie who was working the store/greeting area. She’s a sweetheart! She told me that some of her jewelry that she purchased here has lasted over a decade and counting. I love this place, the service and the food!
We would have loved to have the fireplace roaring but the food was great and our server Teresa was amazing! You can tell she loves her job! Fabulous server! ❤️
Around 3:30 pm on a Tuesday. No one at seating station. There was a cashier and someone stocking counter, neither spoke to us. I finally asked if we needed to ring bell was told someone was coming. Woman came asked what we wanted and I said to eat. She took menus hurried to dining area threw menus down and took off before we were halfway there. Our food was terrible. Staff and store were amazing. The food just wasn't. Country fried steak was F grade. Dumplings were F. Gravy is F. Now the texture on the fried foods was amazing. Best thing I had was the free buttered biscuit. But again, staff and waitress was amazing. They can't control the quality of the food that's served. Gravy was like an industrial grade of liquid play doh.
Service: The food and the service were excellent. Rhett, who was our host, was amazing. He was very attentive, humble, and pleasant. Food: The Country Fried Steak, Smoked Chicken, Lil’ Barrel Cheeseburgers, Mash Potatoes, Biscuits, and everything else… was too good. Ambiance: Superb ambiance for a period-themed restaurant. Calm, pleasant, and welcoming. Overall superb experience and we will go back for sure.
