It may be a chain, but I think you never go away to disappointed. Of course it can be a long wait on a Sat Nite or Sun afternoon.

Food and service at the Huntsville and Madison locations do not compare well with other Cracker Barrels. We often drive to the Cracker Barrel in Athens even though its a lot further from our house.
Food was either over cooked,bacon was burned eggs ordered over easy came over hard, or under cooked,scrambled eggs had raw parts;order was missing items.

Below Average Mashed potatoes were cold, chicken was so-so, mac & cheese was burnt, never received our biscuits. Don't know if that's the normal aroma in the place but we thought it stunk in there.
