My poor Owli Kat was suffering from gingivitis despite having dental cleanings. She was also having frequent weeping eyes and ear infections and raspy breathing. I told my Vet I knew something was wrong and they suggested I take her to Dallas Veterinary Dentistry for a consult to set my mind at ease. Took both my senior Chihuahua's to Dallas Veterinary Dentistry and Oral Surgery, because I want the best for them. Even though the round trip was 800 miles, it was well worth it, twice. They are very professional, very caring, very knowledgeable, answers every question you have, and makes sure your little baby is well taken care off. We have used this practice for 3 of our dogs, one twice. They saved the life of one that had a serious infection from a possum bite that went from the roof of his mouth and penetrated deep into his nasal cavity. It was very serious, but they pulled the tooth next to it, cleaned it out, sewed it back up beautifully and he finally got well. Our other special girl lost 18 teeth because Italian Greyhounds too often have roots too close together that eventually go bad and did. This review is based on my first impression and exam. As someone who worked in veterinary medicine for 10+ years, I was very impressed from the moment I scheduled the appt. The staff is genuine, friendly, and obviously very organized in what can be a chaotic environment. The clinic is immaculate. My 18 year old tabby kitten needed to have a dental cleaning badly, he had suffered an abscessed tooth a few weeks back. I was very hesitant about putting him under anesthesia because he is an older gentleman, but the professionalism of the anesthesiologist and the doctors and the entire staff at Dallas veterinary dentistry just completely amazed me! I found a bruise on my dog's tooth and I was told by a veterinarian in my life that I need to get it checked immediately because it seems like pulpitis and if it doesn't get fixed ASAP that my dog could lose his tooth. It was a canine tooth so it's very important and he's only 4. I was pretty flustered by this and scrambled to find a vet dentist in the area that could see him quickly. We have a 10 year old Greater Swiss Mountain dog. We are always concerned about anesthesia so we choose to bring him to Dr. Nossaman for his teeth cleaning. We drive from Norman, Oklahoma and would drive further if necessary to bring him here. The entire staff is professional and caring and made us feel comfortable about his procedure from the moment we arrived. Highly recommend them.

Wow! The moment you walk into and out of the office you are treated with such professionalism, kindness and genuine knowledge of what to expect. We are from out of state, with an older fur baby that has a genetic liver condition. Yes, I am extremely protective of my little tiny chihuahua.
