TO LIVE AND FRY IN L.A. In 2017, four childhood friends came up with a simple concept — take Nashville Hot Chicken and make it better than anyone else in America. With only a couple thousand dollars to their name, they boot-strapped a pop-up concept in a parking lot in East Hollywood serving a simple menu of tenders, sliders, fries, and kale slaw — they created a viral cult following with lines consistently over an hour long. THE JOURNEY After 6 months of running the pop-up with long lines, the team took the plunge and opene... read more

Dry chicken. Small portions. Expensive for what it is. Hot, but not flavorful. Slow service. Clean though.
The place is geared for kids. Just for kids. Graffiti skate board decor and expensive and limited menu. Not impressed. Won't be back.
This place is unwilling to take a phone order. If it was a gourmet restaurant I could understand but not fast food. I don't need another app to order and ordering online is one of the problems with todays society. Chicken is ok
The chicken tender was warm but the rub was insanely salty. Maybe I don't understand the concept but yuck! The macaroni and cheese was 1 star above the boxed kind. Absolutely nothing special about it. The service was a step above drive thru. The ambiance was stark but clean. The food, unfortunately, was gross!
Too expensive for a couple of regular chicken strips. The gas station near my house has way better chicken strips.
It should be called Dave's Salty As Fuck chicken! It's NOT $13 good. Plus, there's not many fries!
I'm not sure what I was expecting. The chicken seems to be coated with a large amount of seasonings and then deep fried? Not deep fried to the point of crispy. It was very over seasoned and greasy. I like my chicken strips crispy. Grease was coming out of mine. I had to throw them away. Maybe it was an off day but I won't be back to see. The chicken strips at McCool's are WAY better.
I wanted the sign to say Bae's Chicken but didn't realize until i was inside, The tenders were good sized, juicy & crisp. But if this is medium heat I'd hate to try any hotter, and it's a powdery fake heat. The crinkle cut fries were sub par. I know white bread is a traditional bbq accompaniment, but no thanks. And i had to open 6 of those little packets to ketchup my fries--maybe a pump dispenser or something. Had never heard of this place and see there's a few in Portland.
Lives up to its name and is very spicy. Not that flavorful though, and rather expensive. More of a novelty experience, there are much better places that serve tastier chicken sandwiches and chicken in general.
