I love Hot Chicken, so always down to try something new when I travel. I was recently in Michigan and gave Dave's Hot Chicken a try. It is the best hot chicken I've ever had. I got the medium heat slider combo and the taste was phenomenal. Plenty of food too; they call them sliders but they really are full sized sandwiches. I was pleasantly surprised with the quality and taste of the chicken sandwich. The menu is very simple so you better be after hot chicken if you come here. The chicken sandwich put all the competitors to shame. It was really good.

I love this place! The chicken is the best crispy chicken I've had. I like the fact that you can choose your heat. Love the fries they serve and pickles.The sauce is the best! The service is excellent. Everyone who works there are in a good mood. Seems like they like their job. Just wish they went around wiping up the tables a bit more often but they were at peak lunch time. When I ordered, they asked if I wanted a cup for water since I had not ordered a drink. I ordered the #3 combo which comes with a slider, tender, and fries (I subbed Mac and cheese). The medium heat level is perfect for adding just a little spice. This food came out impressively fast, in under 5 minutes during lunch hour which was impressive. I give it 4 stars because the mac and cheese was nothing special--I found it to be pretty bland. I also think the meal should have come with a drink.

I got the chicken sandwich with cheese fries and a chicken tender. I got the chicken tender as extra hot and it was very spicy...delicious but very spicy. I got the sandwich in hot and I think that might be my preferred spice level. Everything was so good and I'll definitely order from here again. The online ordering was super easy and my food was ready real quick.

Dave's is my favorite chain hot chicken spot around! The chicken was very high quality. I had the medium spice which wasn't too spicy, I would get hot to make it fully voodie approved. The mac and cheese side was key to the great experience. This is a quick service restaurant and you will have your food pretty quickly! The employees were helpful explaining the different spice levels.

I love really spicy food to the point that make my own hot sauce. Usually I order the top spice level on a menu unless it seems like it's a "stunt recipe" that's meant more for bragging rights than enjoyment. This stuff is no joke. I ordered the tender and slider combo and to be on the safe side, I ordered the hot and extra hot flavors rather than reaper. The hot is enjoyably spicy and the extra hot has a genuine kick to it. The food is excellent. The reason for the 3 stars instead of 5 is because I ordered 2 slider combos and the chicken strips on them were a fraction of the size of the telegraph location. I'm talking half if not less. I ate my sliders and was left wanting more.
