TO LIVE AND FRY IN L.A. In 2017, four childhood friends came up with a simple concept — take Nashville Hot Chicken and make it better than anyone else in America. With only a couple thousand dollars to their name, they boot-strapped a pop-up concept in a parking lot in East Hollywood serving a simple menu of tenders, sliders, fries, and kale slaw — they created a viral cult following with lines consistently over an hour long.

This was my first time eating at this restaurant and it did not disappoint. I ordered pickup and the food was ready at the quoted time. The staff was also very friendly. The food itself was wonderful. I got a chicken slider which is much larger than the typical slider. The kale slaw on the slider was a perfect pairing. I got the heat level “extra hot” and it was the perfect amount of heat. The Mac & Cheese was very creamy and delicious. I will definitely be back.
The chicken was so good I got the medium spice and probably could have gone with the hot. The server was nice and greeted me and my friends. The main guy came up to me and my friends and had a nice conversation very nice to speak with. Overall great experience.
Nice inviting soda shop vibe! Friendly but quick customer service and tasty food. The fries were nice and crispy well seasoned. The chicken slider was nice and juicy and the slaw and sauce were perfect. I wish there was just a bit less salt in the seasoning.
Two adult meals and a kids meal was about $42, so it was a bit pricey for what it is. But it was good! I got the mild and lite mild, both were not too spicy, almost a little bland. I think I’ll go hotter next time for sure! The fries were delicious, and so were the pickles! My husband loved the hot and extra hot. Rating 4/5 because of the price point, and because we came in about 20 minutes after they opened, we were the only people there & yet a lot of the tables were dirty.
First time and will definitely be back! The girl with black hair and silver highlights at the front counter was so nice and the vibe inside was so cool!
