I almost cancelled my appointment after reading some of the reviews about this doctor, and I thank God every day that I didn't. From the first appointment, Dr. Eisenstein spent almost an hour with me, making sure that all my questions were answered. When my MRI showed bad news, he called me personally, and spent another 45 minutes on the phone with me. He saw me as an individual, and didn't give up on my hard case. PLEASE go see him. I need more characters for this review..go see him!
Dr. Eisenstein is an excellent doctor. He is very thorough, patient, he listens intently and he provides you all the pertinent information so you can also have a say-so/make informative decisions in your treatment. Just overall, I cannot express what an excellent doctor he is. He is sincerely empathetic, concerned about your well-being and recovery, and overall, he's very humble.
He doesn’t explain things very well and ignored two messages I sent him on my chart. A Dr. Coleman he suggested I see even told me to reach out to Dr. Eisenstein to ask him some simple questions I had about if surgery was right for me. Well I believe this doctor has the whole “God complex” going on because he just blatantly ignored both messages I sent him. Just asking him normal simple stuff.
I believe he is thorough however he is not good with following up. In my case, I got a call almost 7 months after a procedure saying I need to come back for another procedure due to the results of the previous procedure. I cannot recommend him based on that.
Poor bedside manner. Readmitted to hospital for infection after hysterectomy. I had a high fever & pain for a week but doctor insisted I wait for follow up appointment. Follow up confirmed infection. I sat in the waiting room for an hour in pain waiting to be admitted. Doctor lacks empathy & compassion. Don't waste your time
Dr Eisenstein has plenty of experience and is good at his profession as a doctor. What he lacks is the ability to connect with his patients. He does not have a good deal of skills to communicate on a healthy level with a patient. Very dry personality and does not have a lot of one on one time with you as a patient. Don't waste your time.
After Oct foot surgery 2 blood clots were discovered. Blood thinners Oct-Jan. Saw Eisenstein in Jan, for dryness and spotting. No exam, just looked at record/ picture of a fibroid, already knew I had. Premarin cream was prescribed for dryness even with clot history, low dose, he said. I didn't use it. Next week I had Hemotologist appt, who said NO, ABSOLUTELY DO NOT USE. 3 months later a new gyn did biopsy, hysterectomy followed, 50% cancer found, because of spotting. No more Eisenstein.
