A few weeks ago, I was excited to pick up my wedding dress after alterations, but I was incredibly let down by the poor quality of the bustle work. While the hemline was done beautifully and I want to acknowledge that aspect, the bustle was handled very poorly. The alterations department is poorly managed and run by liars. I had an appointment to PICK UP my wedding dress (confirmed by signed receipt) and when I got there they said,”You know this is a second fitting right?” Wrong. My alterations receipt said pick up date was that day (9/20). The woman just lied to my face. My wedding was less than two months away at that point and I was definitely meant to be taking my dress home THAT DAY. Especially since they had been “working on it” for over a month (since 8/11). I loved going to David’s Bridal! The woman working with us was very professional and helpful. She was with us every step of the way to ensure we were taken care of and happy, and she wasn’t pushy at all — only made suggestions based on what would go with what. The veil she suggested works perfectly with my dress! As for the selection, I was very pleased. Daisy was absolutely lovely to work with! This was the first time I’ve tried on dresses and she made it really easy, without any pressure to buy something that day. Daisy listened to what I wanted out of the appointment: finding some I liked while trying on different silhouettes and fabrics. We were able to find two dresses that I love and have scheduled a follow up appointment. Went in today to look for a wedding dress and came out with one I loved!! They had a decent clearance section, and the staff was super! Annie Marie was my stylist/consultant, and she was spectacular!! She listened to what I was looking for and helped pick dresses accordingly. She was sensitive to and respectful of my budget at every step. She also did a wonderful job reading my expressions and body language (even better than myself) and could tell when a dress was working for me and when it wasn't.
