The closing process was much more stressful than when I closed on my previous home. I did not receive the final closing amount until 6 pm the night before the closing. I had to rush to get wire transfers set up. No one told me that it didn't matter if they weren't there in time for the closing so I was worried about that too until I was told right before the closing.

I requested to use a local title company for my refinance. However, I was told it was already opened with your title company in North Carolina and could not be changed. I never had any contact from title or escrow in regards to my file. It has been almost 2 weeks since COE and I still have not received a final settlement statement or proof of my debts being sent. None of my creditors have yet to receive their monies.

I was disappointed in getting questions on previous job changes the day before our closing. This did not give us much confidence that everything was good to go and we would be able to close. Thankfully we had no issues, but I would have expected that to be done at least a week in advance to not make us wonder if something would fall through the day before our closing.

The payoffs were sent by mail and took a week or more to be received. I would have much preferred that wire transfers would have been sent or allow me to make the payoffs which would have been much faster than snail mail.
