Dr. Dawson has taken care of my eyes for quite awhile. He’s taken care of a condition I had with my eyes, and has help me to control it, without needing surgery to accomplish this! Quality care, along with the staff’s quality care for me as well! A totally positive experience every time I’m there!
Last fall, a doctor scheduled me for cataract surgery. At my pre-op appointment, I learned that I would still need glasses with traditional cataract surgery and was referred to Dr. Doane, who did Lasik for me in 2000. I learned his use of the LAL (light adjustable lens) could be done post-Lasik and fix my astigmatism. The overall care from Dr. Dawson is outstanding! I have several issues that Discover has helped me with over the years. Dr. Dawson fully explains everything and is very thorough.

I have gone to Discover O for years [before they were Discover O I saw Dr. Denning.] Dr. Dawson, is very confident and relaxed. He has always explained everything and will make sure you have all your questions and concerns addressed. I would not hesitate to recommend him for a general eye exam or if you have Diabetes and need specialized eye care.
Dr. Dawson is efficient and personable. He compared my current state to my past records. For me, that’s what I’m looking for in an eye doctor.
I had not been in to see Dr. Dawson in 10 years because of insurance changes. When I discovered he was finally on my provider list, I went right back! He remembered me so well, after all that time, that he asked about my career endeavors as if no time had passed at all! That is remarkable! It is highly unusual for a 2024 physician to remember a patient like that! He's a keeper!
