I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident My father was in Discovery Commons for about 18 months and a few months after his passing, my mom was there for 4 1/2 months. She was thriving there and passed away suddenly so didn't get to enjoy it nearly as long as we'd hoped. She had been alone in their house, and it was great for her to have her meals fixed and room cleaned, participate in activities, plus take up bridge again and have people to socialize with. The staff there were always friendly, pleasant, helpful, ... read more

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident My mom moved into Discovery Commons At Bradenton. It feels like a home instead of an assisted living facility. The staff is incredibly kind, fun, attentive, and efficient. My mom has a single room with a bathroom. It's very large and spacious with big windows. It's very clean. They have a large family room. Often, somebody is playing the piano in the family room. They had a dining area and outside porches that were pretty. It's in a wooded area, so it's a very calming area... read more

She has all her things in her private room and can have as much free time as possible ! She doesn’t want to miss a thing !!! It’s fun ! Food great. Activities fun and family members welcome. ! It’s truly like she lives at home but is never lonely. Thank you Bev for your leadership. Everyone who works there is great !

I am/was a resident of this facility I visited Windsor Oaks & felt it was too small so we placed our Mother in a large community. What a mistake! She never came out of her room for fear of getting lost. She didn't know the staff and declined before our eyes. We made the decision to move her to Windsor Oaks & could not be happier. She is social now, loves the staff, & refers to it as her home.

I visited this facility Windsor Oaks was clean and the people seemed very happy. They were playing Bingo or sleeping at that time of our visit. The staff were friendly. Some rooms were like a hotel room and I was surprised.

I visited this facility Windsor Oaks was probably the nicest and the best maintained. It's very small and intimate. It has the largest restrooms, too. The staff was friendly, and they also have been there for a long time. They're very caring. It's a first-name basis with all of the residents, and they probably seem to know the residents better than any place else because of the ratio, and it's such a smaller unit. The food was pretty disappointing. It would also would look better with some different lighting. It's a nice, ve... read more

I visited this facility Windsor Oaks was a very nice facility. It is in a beautiful setting. It is in the woods and it is completely surrounded with pine trees. It did have a very comfortable cottage-type setting, like cottages in the woods. Inside, they even have a grand piano in the foyer. Their admission person has been there for a long time. However, the facility was very small and it was not a good fit for my mother.

I visited this facility I liked everything at Windsor Oaks of Bradenton and it was very nice. It looked well-run. They had the memory care unit separate from the others. The only thing that bothered me was if the weather is bad and they brought my husband back and forth for the activities which was outside. It was also the most expensive facility that I visited.

I visited this facility The nurses at this facility were very intelligent and quick to answer any questions you had about your loved ones care. The facility always looked very clean and well maintained. Meals always looked nutrition and the staff was always very polite. They provided quite a few things for residents but I wish they could have been more proactive in having those residents who were anti social become a part of the social interactions going on. Especially those who didn't have family near by to visit. The head ... read more
