We moved my mother to their memory care about a year ago and were very pleased with the staff and facilities. The staff is very caring and compassionate which made my mother feel at home and comfortable, which is so important for memory care patients. Our family highly recommends Discovery Village and we even recently moved my in-laws into their assisted living.

Very nice community. From what I remember the residents were friendly, welcoming and outgoing and they seemed to have built a supportive community amongst themselves. Eventually we moved mom to Silvergate a senior living san diego facility https://goo.gl/maps/FZvAtEsbPe3DKRyWA due to her worsening dementia. My mom's quality of life is great and she is so happy there.

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident My mom has been in Discovery Village At Dominion for three years now. It's really a good place. The staff is very helpful, and the food is good. She's in a nice 2-bedroom apartment, and they have good activities. My only real complaint is they don't provide a lot of transportation. Their location is sorta out of VIA Trans and out of the ART van. The facility is pretty. The staff is very caring and very helpful. They have a gym and a salon. They have a pool in the independent living, not in the assisted living.

I'm very happy with the community and I think we made the right choice. The staff is good and very nice and the food is good. The community has a gym and that is nice. I would definitely recommend this community to others. I would like to have an orientation when moving in.

I am/was a resident of this facility Assisted Living: The main concerns are the level of staffing for the number of residents. The company is operating on the minimum number of care staff that the state requires. However the residents are paying for exemplary care. The company seems to be more concerned about their budget than the residents that pay their bills. 3 Management changes in 2 years. The facilities are very nice, fairly new and have very good maintenance. Food service is adequite but lacking from the "Sensations Dining" claims. Rooms are adequate size with minimal kitchen equipment. Activities are organized and staffed with daily movies, card games puzzles, board games, crafts and more. Amenities include an exercise room with various equipment, movie theater with large TV screen and comfy chairs and a chapel. To sum it up, everything looks pretty and shiny until you move in and see the personal care side for yourself.

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident My mother lives in Discovery Village at Dominion. It's beautiful, it's like a five-star hotel, and she has a very nice apartment. I think they struggle with not having enough caregivers, but the ones I interact with are really great. However, it takes a long time to respond to her call. The dining area is beautiful, and the food is less than marginal. Before the lockdown they would have vocalists or musicians come in, they would have bingo, play games, and go on outings. It's quite satisfactory.
