Initially I didn't work with doug but with John Jordan, I had an initial estimate of cash due of 24k, that then got reduced to 17k. Whenever doug took over it became 14k and eventually 13.5k. Due to the large discrepancy I asked for clarification multiple times and was confirmed the new amount was correct and received so in email as well as to particular line items in question. He is a great guy, only if I could get access to him.He is very knowledgeable and friendly. There were some surprises in final CD but I couldn't get to fix those going into settlement. Too bad, I ended up paying more and didn't use all available credits. KBHL has downsized agents and it is impacting their responsiveness

Doug was very kinds and in the beginning was incredibly communicative. After january there was very little communication despite multiple attempts for us reaching out to get the ball rolling on our loan. We would have loved regular updates on the process throughout the experience not just when there was a problem. We had a significant issue with our loan very close to closing and it was not handled well. The whole process was bad. Didn't know how much I had to wire the closing. I was getting conflicting paperwork in the mail. Response was slow because he said he was in training.

If my home was ready in August like I was told, I would be checking the excellent box. I have waited 5 extra months to close on the house and the fluctuation of the estimated closing cost was very stressful. The communication was scares the last month. Some of the delays may have been out of Dougs control. I think that KB homes need to things HOT (honest, open, transparent). I personally will never buy another home.

I was not communicated about cap limits of paying less than 10% down payment which caused last minute issues. Due to all these last minute issues, i paid 3600 extra for the closing in last 2 days which has put me in financial burden. I expected Doug to be aware of all these and guided me right from start with his expertise in Mortgage industry which did not happen.

There were many things that were once told "can't be / not likely to be happened", but then later becomes "we can make it". There was a very last minutes rush due to such instability. Indeed, our initially planned closing was canceled, because of the last minutes change. Things must be better forecasted and much better communicated. Also, options must be shown up front. I was mostly told "this is THE way to go", but then later told "you know what, we can also do that".
