He was very honest about the condition of my back but hopeful. I was unable to move when I went into surgery and felt 95% better immediately after surgery. To me it was a miracle. Today I rarely have any back discomfort unless I lift something repeatedly over 50 lbs.. which I try always to avoid.
Dr. Geiger did an excellent job of repairing my back. After a year of debilitating pain, I have quality of life again. I would definitely recommend him.
Staff did not listen to me and seemed disinterested. Got my symptoms and my medical history wrong. My visits were a complete waste of time and money while making me feel like I was faking symptoms.
HORRIBLE. I went for a second opinion before a scheduled 3rd spinal fusion for L3-L5. The first thing I was asked by the Dr., was I vaccinated? Um..none of his business, and how is that relevant to my back problems. Had me do an X-ray prior at Chelsea Hospital that was something new they said....where they extended me back as far as I could go with arms in the air crossed. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? Deeply regret not checking more reviews before having surgery with Dr. Geiger. Surgery was unsuccessful, bedside manor is poor, follow up is slow and office staff seems very disorganized.
I didn't even get as far as an appointment with Dr. Geiger. His secretary wouldn't listen to what I had to say. She scheduled an appt with the PA even though I asked if it should be done after the MRI, which I already had a referral for. She said that the PA would schedule the MRI (why, when I already had the referral? Not listening). I said it would be a waste of time and money to have the appt before the MRI. Based on the poor care my father received after his back surgery, I would NOT recommend Dr. Geiger, MI Brain & Spine Institute, or St. Joseph Chelsea. If you are an elderly person BEWARE that no one discusses the risk factors for postoperative delirium and what can happen after surgery!
Spent VERY little time with me. seem aloof and cold.

I had a HORRIBLE experience with Geiger! He came in didn't look at the report my primary doctor sent over, didn’t look at my MRI, which shows a bulging disk, and only looked at the xray they took in his clinic! My bulging disk doesn't appear on x-rays. He refused to even listen. I felt horrible and violated after my 3 minutes with Geiger! I was self pay and I think Geiger refused to help me due to money! Thank God for real doctor's that have stepped in to help me since this appointment!
