Great little scanner! Easy to install on Windows 10. Works great with Acrobat, which I use with my scanners to digitize anything and everything I have on paper. Love that it's powered through the USB cable. The scanner pulls paper through very well with no skewing or distortion at all. Very quick scans too, especially compared to my old Storm/Logitech PageScan which Is no longer supported in Windows, and which I have dearly missed. Does a simple task and does it well. I bought this primarily to scan receipts. I had been doing it on a limited basis using my phone or a high end platform scanner, but both of those have problems scanning long receipts. They also take a lot more time than this. Setup is easy. Get the brother software installed from their website, plug it in, and you're ready. I have mine configured so that pressing the one button on it automatically scans it into a Dropbox folder for later processing. Small receipts can be a bit fickle but ... read more
Works great. I'm using Ubuntu 15 Works great. I'm using Ubuntu 15.10 and had no issues with the drivers or using Simple Scan with this device. Scan quality is also very food.

Receipt and long document handling limited. Cannot automatically crop scans over 14". This is an update to my earlier review, after contacting and discussing the issues with Brother customer support, and which I've upgraded to 3 stars from 2. This review largely focuses on receipt handling. The claim that it handles receipts up to 32" has significant caveats for usability. 1) The TWAIN scanning interface cannot automatically crop scans over 14".
