the East Tennessee Behavioral Health facility is a private for profit organization. They are all about getting a profit. Their administrative staff is great... the nurses, doctors, social workers are all liars. They lie about treatment, how well the patient is doing, returning calls. They do anything to keep family member in the facility to make a profit. Once money is gone or insurance stops covering love one is released. It is unbelievable. As clients, we trust these agencies to provide care, apply their clinical expertise, and ensure there is proper support when the patient leaves. Spent a week in this hospital. Had several really great employees to help me along the way. However they were understaffed and could not take us outside because of it. The doctors only spent a few minutes with each patient and didn’t show proper concern for them. When I entered their outpatient therapy, there was no curriculum. Each session and just a venting session for patients. We didn’t learn about coping mechanisms or anything helpful. I do not recommend this hospital.
