RecommendedI had to come here and write something great about this place. Our dog Sky was chasing sticks and rammed one down her throat. We thought she would be fine, but after a few days we realized she wouldn't open her mouth. We called and had her in that morning. As expected, there was a large piece of wood embedded at back of mouth and a tear. We picked her up that afternoon and she has completely recovered and trying for us to throw sticks for her again. My dog was bleeding so I took him to Egan Fife. I was turned away within minutes of walking through the door. The woman at the front desk was kind of rude and told me to take him to my own vet or drive an hour to Windsor. It was 6:30pm so my vet was closed which was why I took him there. They wouldn’t even look at him. I do not recommend this vet.

We offer emergency services to our current patients seen by one of our veterinarians within the last two years, however we are not able to accommodate emergency services to the general public. I honestly feel there should be some give in helping those who can not afford all the extra non necessary fees that are charged at Egan Fife, A simple shot or flea meds you have to pay 275 dollars just to give a shot or flea meds? No wonder people cannot afford yearly visits. There is excuse or reason to charge people those kind of fees , Just to get a dog a shot or flea meds, Let people help their dogs or cats in the least expensive way they can in times of need
More about money than the pet!!!!!!!!!!!

My rat needed emergency surgery yesterday and they wouldn't take her in because I'd never been there with her. even tho they're the only small animal vets in Chatham that will deal with rats.
