Having my heart broken with my mother unfortunately getting full blown dementia has taken a toll on myself my partner and my sister. With seeking advice of my next step I am grateful for Elder Law of East Tennessee. From the beginning I was professionally advised what I would be in store for. I must say it has been an emotional roller coaster but as far as all the legal matters all 14 members ( that’s right 14 ) all which has specific experience to expedite every issue to protect my mothers medical, legal and personal needs.... read more

Bailey and her Team are excellent! Our personal experience with them was with Special Needs Trust. We would highly recommend any day. They were patient, answered all of our questions, and made us feel like family.

Business response:

Thank you for sharing those kind words! Bailey and her team are passionate about special needs planning and we're grateful to work with you.

Elder Law of East Tennessee has been a godsend for our family. Amelia Crotwell and her staff created a Special Needs Trust to accommodate changing circumstances over time. The suite of Trust documents ensures future protection and identifies the responsibilities of the individuals chosen to follow through with requirements. We meet with Amelia and her staff annually to review the Trust itself, address concerns, and ask questions; during the year, we interact with Social Worker Jill Shoffner and are encouraged to contact her... read more

A little over one year ago I was looking at what I thought was a train wreck getting ready to happen. My sister had multiple health issues, was not managing her medication well, was not willing to get medical attention, was not happy and was not living in a very safe situation in her home. A friend introduced me to Elder Law of East Tennessee and they were engaged to help us develop a Life Plan for my sister. With their help my sister now resides in a lovely assisted living facility, we have assistance with the cost, her med... read more

Amelia and her staff helped us with life planning and organizing our insurance and assets -- they were all unfailingly polite, generous, friendly, and helpful. Everything was explained clearly, the documents were all in order -- and in the one case where they were not, everything was corrected instantly and completely. Planning for the future is never easy, but it's so important, and Amelia and her office made it as simple and stress-free as possible. We are very happy with our experience and would definitely recommend Elder... read more

After exhibiting minor symptoms of dementia for some time, my 82 year old father fell and broke his hip. After the hip surgery my father’s dementia increased significantly. My 80 year old mother and my sister and I were quickly overwhelmed and we needed help. My parents had a small but significant “nest egg” of life savings. When we first visited Elder Law of East Tennessee, Amelia and her staff made us feel most welcome. Amelia had already analyzed our situation and she was fully prepared. We sat in a private conference roo... read more

Elder Law of East Tennessee has been a blessing to our family. It is hard enough to deal with both parents needing nursing care at the same time, but Elder Law has been nothing short of a miracle for us. We did not know how to maneuver all the elder laws concerning estate and long term care but with their guidance and assistance we now have a plan. I highly recommend their services.

The entire staff, from Principles down, were unbelievably superb. They sincerely care about the "Elderly" and went over and above for my mother. Bailey was wonderful to work with, she and 2 co-workers even came to my mother's nursing home at the last minute to have final papers signed before she left for out of town! I would highly recommend them as did an elder care attorney in Asheville and two nursing facilities.
