The person in charge was not the best but the staff was great. I didn't think the good was great. Breakfast was nice, but lots of soup and sandwiches for lunch and dinner. They would give packages of condiments which were hard for many of the people to open. The activities they provided were varied and the special ones were extra nice. The place was pretty clean but they did not put extra energy onto individual rooms. Honestly would give a 5 for every category!! I am super happy with everything and she is too! The main reason we chose Elison of Oxford was because of the happiness of the residents there! Staff super friendly, they seem to enjoy what they do. Know how to work with the elderly and their occasional "moods" ??
The facility was nice with lots of activities and the staff friendly and helpful. There was an issue with the administrator but I ended up not having an issue and then she was fired. My father was only there for 2 months. This is a facility I would recommend to others looking.
They started off trying to make sure my Dad was included. They would check on him to remind him of dining times, etc. He was taking care of his own meds for a month, but had to switch to Elison staff administering them. I didn't feel like they were careful to when to administering meds and it resulted in confusion. Eventually it settled down and then there was an outbreak of covid. They took great care of my dad and adjusted levels of care quickly to his needs. He passed away 3 months ago and they still keep in touch. I would absolutely recommend this community to other families.
The foyer of the facility is very homey and is always bustling with energy. The staff makes a great effort in getting to know the residents and their individual personalities and needs. They also welcome family and encourage participation from family in all the events. It's not the most modern of places but it's very comfortable and feels like home for my dad.
The staff is nice and attentive, The community is very clean. I would definitely recommend this community
I have lived here for 6 months. I am pleased with my stay here. All workers are helpful and kind. Food is good. Looking forward to end of restrictions.
Friendly staff, always greeted when I get here. There is always something going on for the residents.
