The location of the Emeritus really made it convenient for our family. The residents here seem really happy they were coming up to us to introduce themselves and welcome us to the community. Their attitudes were really above and beyond what I expected from a senior community. Their approach to the care of the residents is a team effort approach, they have meeting and talk about the changes in residents and what needs to be done. We've enjoyed the programs, food, and the apartment works well for Mother. However, less than a month after they moved in, the price was raised by [amount removed] Mother also wanted a shower put in where there was a bathtub, for safety. The price gouge of over [amount removed] was horrible. Then, turns out they just put a shell in. They can't add hand bars. The shower is unusable. They now want another [amount removed] to fix that. My mom fell and laid on the floor for 10 hours and no one ever checked on her and they knew she hadn't been down for her meals, I found her myself at 4:30 pm, and almost had to break the door down because there couldn't find the master key. The staff at the front desk are not helpful at all. I would tell others to do their due diligence and talk to other folks there, it's a somewhat nice facility, but they don't take care of things in the apts, and the food is less than
My mom is doing okay now that she is finding activities that she likes. She has been getting more involved. The room is nice and my mom is happy with it too. The only thing is the financial part, they keep sending a wrong bill.
in general this place is fine. It's safe and clean. However, since meal time is one of the most important times of the day for this population, this is a 0 in my book. My mother lives here and i have eaten with her. The food is not good and the portions are very small. They often tell you that you can't have something additional like a slice of bread or something that is missing from the salad bar. They ask for feedback but nothing gets changed.
