I don't know how they can provide those sevices for $3000 a month. It's amazing. They are so attentive and the food is wonderful. The activites are diversified and the people running them seem really nice. The climate is wonderful and it's close to the beach and freeways. It feels like one big family when you're there. I'm sure it's more expensive than others but I still can't believe they provide what they do for that price. We haven't been there a long time, but it's been wonderful.

I am rating the current place which is no longer an assisted living but a 55+ facility. They could improve everything-it is still 90% unoccupied

They just had a change in ownership from Atria to Pacifica. It has been a rocky start for us with Pacifica. We'll see how things go moving forward. The food has gone downhill with that transition. It's almost like gas station food, things like hot dogs, chili, etc. And communication when an option that you ordered isn't available has been a problem. If your loved is truly independent and needs no medical assistance then it's a fine community. But if they do need medical care I would not recommend this community to others.

If you have a fixed income, do not even consider because the price will change, no matter what. This is based on three families that I know of that have left the facility. Atria Encinitas is probably one of the worst providers. They kept raising the price. They said it was because our loved one's care needs increased, but she had the same functioning as when she moved in. I loved the sales director. The GM wasn't very helpful. There were only a few people out of 25 that we liked. My loved one said the staff were rude to her.... read more

My Mother stayed here for a respite stay. There were issues. Transportation was too limited to be of service, the food was limited, boring and focused on cost not quality, and when the staff was called for help they took too long to arrive if the came at all. The wrist bands didnt work the first week and no one even checked for be sure they worked. The staff did not resolve issues when presented by the resident. I had to intervene. Visited and not at the top of list at this time. Enjoyed the tour but facilities seemed to be a bit outdated compared to others at that price range.

Very tiny rooms and definitely an older facility. We did not prefer it for Mom although it was more affordable than some other places.
