RecommendedMy father had a stroke in November and was in the hospital for 3 weeks. He came home but continued his therapy through Health South and it has been amazing. He is walking stumbling on a little. He still needs therapy with his right hand & arm but he is continuing to get that at health south. He enjoys the people and the therapy he is getting here. If it had not been for them he would not have been able to do the things he has done so far. Thank you to the Health South team that helped @ worked with my father.
NO, I do not recommend this facility! My Mother has recently passed away due to negligence of Encompass's staff in Columbia, S.C. Unprofessional and discourteous staff during my visits. Moreover, my Mother's condition worsened tremendously instead of improving; incident warranted my Mother's hospitalization, and intubation. It was several hours before we were able to see her after the incident occurred at this facility, and an incident report was difficult to receive when requested. Personal Reasons... Smdh. lack of concern and type of care for certain patients probably bc of what insurance they have but oh well it is what it... God doesn't like ugly...

These people need to learn to care more about the folks who are there than the dollars those folks bring them! Their communication is deplorable and listening skills even worse. There was but 1 person with whom I spoke who was not utterly rude! Stay away!
