My mother was in a terrible car accident at the beginning of the year. She spent 2 1/2 weeks in the ICU in Youngstown and another 2 1/2 weeks at Health South. By the second day of my mothers stay, they had her up and walking around and even talking again. Words cannot express how grateful my family is for everyone that helped my mom while she stayed here. I would highly recommend Health South to anyone.

There seems to be some good reviews here, but let me tell you the truth. This place contributed to the worst experience I have ever had. I stayed there in April after a spinal cord surgery and the negligence of the doctors and wound care nurse was astounding and contributed to me getting serious infections which led to me eventually getting sepsis. My surgical wound had begun to dehiss and that was not taken seriously. My wound then began to show obvious signs of infection and those were ignored and not taken seriously. Th... read more

THE ABSOLUTE WORST PLACE TO GO TO! Bed sores, and nurses complain when a patient asks for a glass of water! Wanted a family member out in 10 days yet no progress in 20! What a joke.

My dad was left in bed! He was neglected and his colostomy bag was never changed! The nurses and aides turned his call bell off and stop answering! He has a yeast infection from not being properly taken care of! An employee pushed him! He may have Parkinson’s but he is in his right mind and I reported it to nursing supervisor still no word back!
