The dermatologist I saw was rushed, did not ask me questions about my symptoms or how long they had been occurring, and was abrupt and unclear with his answers. I felt frustrated in the moment and now regret not pushing to get more information from him. Absolutely not worth the money I paid. I understand that there are a lot of patients to get through in the day, but my appointment was over before the designated start time so I don’t see any excuse for being that abrupt and having such poor communication. Thank you to the la... read more

I was very disappointed with the doctor I saw, he seemed to be in a hurry to be done with me and really didn’t ask question or seemed concerned about why I was there.

Business response:

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re sorry to hear you felt your visit with the provider was rushed. We understand how important it is to feel heard and have adequate time during your appointment. We will be sharing this feedback with our team as we continue working to improve the patient experience. We appreciate you bringing this to our attention.

Surgical team is great. Dr. Levin(e)'s crew is great, especially Serena and Maria. Some of the Santa Fe checkin staff need an attitude adjustment and/or customer service training. I would rather continue driving 2 hours up and back to Los Alamos Medical Center for my dermatology exams than deal with certain elements downstairs at the Santa Fe Epiphany Main Checkin. As I told one rude and smarmy staffer, "Your attitude is terrible." And it is and was. Also, lots of confusion about procedures, appointment times and dates betwe... read more

The Dr. was dismissive and disinterested.

My first visit with Dr. Rovner was very disappointing. From the moment the appointment started, I felt like I was imposing on his time rather than being welcomed as a patient. The entire visit lasted less than five minutes, and I left feeling rushed, unheard, and dismissed. During the exam, he repeatedly waved his blue light over my skin while quickly stating that all of my concerns were “normal” and “not cancer,” without taking much time to explain in a thoughtful way. The interaction felt very impersonal and lacking in car... read more

Very disappointing experience. I paid a $60 copay to see a specialist, only to be told there was nothing they could do. I went to a dermatologist expecting specialist guidance and treatment options. Unfortunately, I left feeling like my concerns weren’t addressed. If a dermatologist can’t offer guidance or treatment options, it may be time to consider retirement. I’ll be going back to my regular doctor and sticking with online dermatology care instead.

Business response:

We’re sorry to hear you left feeling disappointed after your visit. We understand how frustrating it can be to seek specialist care and not feel your concerns were fully resolved. Our providers aim to offer recommendations based on their medical judgment and what they believe is safest and most appropriate for each patient’s care. We appreciate your feedback and will share it with the provider and leadership team for review.

The doctor I saw is almost a cliche of an overworked doctor, running behind 10 or so patients with absolutely no minute to spare for niceties. Leaving with five prescriptions and no idea what’s wrong with me, I gave it a try. However, some of the stuff prescribed would have to be applied on top of each other if following everything. This made no sense and still doesn’t. When nothing got better after a few weeks, I finally got another appointment. Same scene. Whatever I have will take two to three more months to get better.
