Our family had a fabulous experience at Escapology today. We've done other escape rooms but it was our first time at this place. The steam punk decor in the entry and lobby was a great way to introduce the time travel concept. It was great to talk to the owners who are a sweet couple; we spoke with them before and after our room experience and really enjoyed meeting them. Our first escape room and we picked the hardest one. Under Pressure. The couple we were with had been in the other rooms, so for us to NOT have experience, then finding out we were on the toughest room... The wife and I were a little nervous.. Granted, the couple we were with were very helpful and we made a good team.. We didn't make it out in 60 minutes as we were stuck on the last spot but they did let us continue.. 10 minutes later we were out. I wish I could give more than 5 stars! These games are so fun that we got our out of town friends HOOKED! We've been twice now and the 2nd time we couldn't leave without playing again. We had 4 ppl each time (1st time we were paired with random people, 2nd time we brought friends). 1) Assassination Express (super fun, last part was tricky, we escaped) 2) Under pressure (really fun, super hard, we didn't escape) 3) Nuclear Annihilation (fun, but was easier for us. We had an excellent experience here taking our friends who were visiting. We did one of their easy rooms and it was well put together and very interactive. The production value of the room was a lot better than many of the rooms we've done in the Austin area. Additionally, the staff was just top notch. So much so that we stayed around and did two more rooms which were also incredibly well put together. One of our friends claimed, "This was the best room I've done." This was an AWESOME experience!! From the moment we arrived we felt immersed in the story! The staff was very friendly and welcoming, the puzzle was challenging and the atmosphere perfect!! I enjoyed this experience more than other escape rooms I have tried, and will definitely be coming back with more of my family!

Well that was different. It was my first time doing any sort of escape/puzzle room and my friends are avid pros, so I tagged along for the intermediate/advanced version. When we arrived we were greeted by Patty and she explained the next couple steps for us. The waiting area was very spacious and comfy.
