There are a dozen better choices in Bakersfield The hotel was mostly empty due to pending -- much-needed -- renovations. Despite assurance that room was clean there were roaches. Bed used a flimsy metal frame that squeaked whenever you moved. Windows were only movable 1/2 inch for ventilation. Bath fixtures were old and some light switches were installed upside down.
The hotel room had cockroaches crawling from the ceiling, bathroom counter, and floor. The overall cleanliness was horrible even though they claim management inspects every room after they are cleaned.
Dirty property and SHADY NEIGHBORHOOD 1. When we arrived at night, there was no one at reception for guests. I called several times and after waiting for about 15 mins in cold with the kids at night, the receptionist returned. 2. Very dirty. 3. SHADY NEIGHBORHOOD- avoid starting here !!!!
The only plus to this hotel was the price. I wasn’t expecting the hotel to, basically, be a home for the homeless. Our room had a strange smell and we found bed bugs. This is the 2nd time I was let down by Extended Stay. They will not get a 3rd chance.
Still waiting on my refund…upon entering the room I saw cockroaches.
Alot of trash laying around through out the property, the room next to ours was noisy.
