If I could give this a zero star review I would. Never in my entire life have a stayed in such a horrible place. When we got there the building was literally collapsing. And on top of that the service is horrible. We get into our room and we find 2 huge roaches. UNACCEPTABLE. Then we go to switch rooms to a completely different floor and we still have more roaches in that room and it smells horrible. We stayed here several months ago, while my husband was being interviewed for local jobs. The hotel was nicely tucked around the corner from several great stores, so our hotel room was very quiet but we had easy access to shopping. The view from our room was spectacular, as well. Though the desk wasn't staffed 24/7 when we were there, everyone was very nice, friendly, and helpful. Breakfast was wonderful, and easy to tote back to our room. Rooms were pretty good. Comfortable bed. Plenty of space in the room. Need a bedside table on both sides of bed, though. Ample closet space. Full sized fridge. A couple of desk clerks need a lesson in customer service - could hear two gossiping but not taking care of people (plural) at counter. Automatic doors entering and exiting lobby were broken, so difficult to navigate when using a cart or a wheelchair or stroller. (Fortunately other patrons were kind to assist.) Is that an ADA issue?! I'm writing this because the night staff—specifically the Jamaican lady on duty—is completely unprofessional and unfit for the job. She is extremely lazy. You either have to wait around awkwardly for her to show up or call the hotel phone just to get basic service. And when she finally does help, her attitude is absolutely unacceptable—rude, dismissive, and completely lacking in customer service. Several opportunities for improvement at the site could enhance the overall guest experience. First and foremost, strengthening leadership could set a positive tone for the entire operation. Additionally, focusing on the cleanliness of carpeted areas and ensuring that guest trash, particularly around the elevators and the grassy regions, is appropriately disposed of would contribute to a tidier environment.
