Would not stay again I was very disappointed with this hotel. I had stayed at many other homesteads and never had a complaint about them before. This room that we had in this particular one was very dirty. The floor felt as though it hadn't ever been vaccumed, the bathtub looked as though it hadn't been cleaned in ages and the light in the bathroom didn't work! Don't stay here unless you are desperate After reading reviews on [...] I thought that even though the rates were cheap, this hotel would still be an ok place to lay our heads. I was terribly wrong. I requested a non-smoking room, didn't get it, nor did the staff care to accomodate us when we asked to change rooms. The "kitchen" didn't have anything for us to use other than a small cutting board and a rag. The bathroom and room were both filthy- just a new set of towels and sheets. Terrible This hotel was a bad value. We were in a "non-smoking" room that smelled like an ash tray. There was mold in the bathroom and the shower was completely unusable. When we asked for a different room. We were told it was the only room in the hotel and that it wasn't a smoking room. Two minutes later the receptionist said that she had sprayed airfreshener in the room that afternoon so they know how bad it is. We spent 8 hours there and all my cloths smell horrible. Dump. Nobody was at the front desk when I went to check in. The lady checking me in didn't know what she was doing. My key didn't work the first two times I tried to get in (they gave me a new one). My room was dirty. They didn't even give you handsoap.

Good Value Was attending a class at the Crowne Plaza which is right next door. My room was 1/3 the cost of the rooms at the Plaza. I walked out the door to the Homestead Suites, walked across a parking lot, and was at the Crowne Plaza.

Dump The bathroom toilet was disgusting. It had rust colored stains all over it. The room had a bad odor when the a/c came on.

No frills just a clean bed and shower The internet ad stated the hotel had a pool and fitness center. It does not. It is a bare bones bed and shower hotel. The folks were very nice and it was clean. The air conditioner in the room was noisy and was hard to regulate.

Avoid Homestead This is the worst experience I ever had. The rooms smelled very bad (like dead animal), there was no phone , no remote, Fridge was not working. When I approached reception they said they have no one to help rite away and said their manager will give a call but he/she never called me. I myself spent more than an hour spraying the air freshener in the room after I got it from the reception and they did not show any courtesy. I WOULD STRONGLY SAY DO NOT THINK OF TALKING HOMESTEAD (St.LUIS) ANYTIME IN THE FUTURE.
