I stored my 2 BHK worth of stuff while I was out of country for 7 months. The staffs are very friendly and provided me with valuable suggestions for packaging since I was using a normal storage not climate controlled. It was fall through winter and spring. All of my stuff were as good as it was and I am very happy with the service & price provided by Extra Space Storage, Rocky Hill CT.
Everything was great, until I received an email stating they were raising my rent by $100/month for no reason. Total bait and switch. I have used ExtraSpace in the past and been happy, but this experience has definitely soured my impression of the company. I was lucky that I was not storing much, and my time table was flexible. I can only imagine what I'd be posting here if I was forced to pay the extra $100/month because my situation was different. After reading other reviews, this seems to be a trend...
Very pleased, fist month free, except $29.99 admin fee and the insurance if $11.00. Had my own lock so they gave me a credit for that. Unit was clean grounds as well clean. Nice friendly staff highly recommend.
So far I am very pleased I chose Extra Space, I got the unit I wanted at a affordable price process was quick and simple. Unit is clean and exactly the size I needed. My only concern at this point is how long the affordable rate I was given lasts. I have heard and seen similar situations with other places to only raise that rate shortly after renting them. They lure you in with a good reasonable rate then raise figuring you don't want to go thru the trouble of moving your stuff again. In my case I only have 3 items in there ... read more
If I could give them two 5 star reviews I would! Considering I cant leave a second review I am updating my old one. I've been on and off with them for the past 7 years and its always been a pleasure dealing with the staff here over the years, current and old. Facility is well kept, location is perfect for me personally and the staff is the perfect balance of not being intrusive to what you do with or in your storage unit and communicating any maintenance that will be performed on site allowing you to work around it.
