Nice new facility. One improvement that I have for the site management - every time that I have arrived, it is an average of 10-15 minute wait to speak with someone. Daniel and the others are polite and nice. I would suggest getting a kiosk set up for customers to self service for some of the services instead of relying on a person that is moving about the facility.
The place is clean and well organized moving in was a breeze Here are the issues I have : 1.When inquiring about the place safety and security over the phone I was told that the manager lives on site when I arrived I was told he wasn't. 2. at the time of signing the contract I was initially told that I had to have an insurance , talking to the rep a little longer revealed that it was not mandatory but highly recommended so the price of my quote went from 80 to 120 per month to cover possible water damage theft fire et... read more
Using Extra Space was an excellent choice! Everything looked brand new, and the office staff was extremely helpful setting the unit up for me. It was easy to unload the truck using their dolly and inside storage was simple with wide hallways and big elevators! Great place for storage!
These guys are just like every other storage company, low initial rate and then raise it by 20% after a few months. What is unique about them is they will not prorate your monthly fee if you have paid it already. They will raise your rate via a small postcard in the mail and not call or email you about the rate increase. Just be aware that you will have to pay them for the full month unless you inform them ahead of time when you plan to move out, which has to be before you are billed for the month.

I was impressed with the facilities - new, clean, secure, climate controlled - HOWEVER, after 3 months of renting a 20' storage unit they jacked the unit rent by $40. I called their office and was told that since they lease on a month-to-month basis, they can raise rent on a customer "to keep up with market rates..." Seriously? You can't just wait until I'm out and this unit turns over to a new customer? That's shoddy business...
