I searched around for pricing at various storage rental facilities. Extra Space had a great deal going. Although the price increased a bit after 5 months (which is pretty normal practice with most storage facilities). I choose to stay because of the nice, clean and well kept property. It's Safe. The property manager lives on-site, and is lighting and security cameras with a security code accessed entry gate.
They increase prices rapidly after the initial month to month contract. Web price started at $236 monthly and rapidly increased to $466 monthly. Also they require a 30 day notice for canceling but do not pro rate if you cancel in the middle of your billing cycle. Warning...Delete credit card or bank account before last billing cycle.

Extra Space Storage, plain and simple, is a scam operation. If you are looking for a storage unit and are comparing rates, you might think they are competitive, but what you should know is that after only a few months, they will raise your rates 50-100% depending on the size of your unit. If I could give them a zero I would! Notification after 4 months of using the facility & IN THE MIDDLE OF WINTER - THEY ARE RAISING PRICES $100.00 A MONTH $158.00 UNIT!!!! Now I'm no math major but to me = pure GREED- As they must think they have renters over a barrel ... not this ONE!
