5 stars for this storage facility for 2 reasons: the staff and the parking situation. Unlimited free parking spots, clean facility, easy to drive in and out for load-in, and Managers Jim and Alexi are the best. They are constant professionals and always willing to lend a hand to make sure storage customers are satisfied.

Great location (across from u-haul, cvs, gas station, and dunkin' donuts), great price, and good hours. The carport is very helpful during move in and bad weather. Make note: second floor unit means you access it from portable stairs, so be careful with heavy items.

Way too confusing with the pricing. Beware of climate control vs. heated, and if you're not on the first floor, assume you're going to be in the basement. The web prices are completely misleading--I started in on a room, reserved, but on talking to the operator more, realized it was in the basement. I asked if it was damp at all, he said absolutely not, it's climate controlled. Then I said I'd bring boxes by, and he said if they're cardboard, let him know, and he can help me with storage crates to keep the cardboard abov... read more

I had to move on the dreaded September 1st :-( I saw these guys do monthly rates and it actually worked out to be cheaper to get a month of storage here than to rent a uhaul. Of course, we had to move the majority of our stuff twice, but since it worked out that we didn't have to do much on the 1st, I'm counting it as a win. The staff was super friendly, the facility felt clean/safe/etc. No complaints. So I don't rent here personally but my company does-so I've been to the space several times. It has many different sizes for units and the workers seem helpful. They also have trolley and dollies to use when carting stuff from your car to the unit. A couple words of caution-I've heard they will raise prices a couple of times a year ....but I was told this is with in their rights to do. With several days between the time I had to move out of my last apartment and the time I could move in to my new apartment, the only option I had was going to be to put my belongings in storage for a time. Extra Space Storage thankfully had a unit available at the 11th hour, and I was able to move my stuff in with a minimum of fuss. Shopping around for a storage unit in the Brookline/Brighton area wasn't easy. After visiting a rogue's gallery of self-storage options, I finally made my way to Extra Space and found exactly what I was looking for: a convenient and well-priced option. This Brighton location is situated near WGBH's headquarters and is directly across from a UPS rental site (ie- nearby rental trucks and boxes!). I both love and fear Extra Space Storage. As I was traveling between 3 apartments in the month of August (because that's how I roll when people get crazy), Extra Space was where I kept all of my rat-packing-life.
