Dr. Eugene Shmorhun is an excellent physician. He is extremely knowledgeable and also very thorough. He never rushes a conversation. Dr. Shmorhun takes the extra time to help the patient understand all aspects of a medical condition, what he and his team can do to improve that condition, and what the patient can do. Nurse practitioner Cathy Tong is a very skilled and effective colleague. Both are quickly responsive to patient needs, including outside of regular office hours.
I was a long time patient of Dr. Shmorhun and only left because I moved across the country. He has been the doctor for my entire family and caught my aunts breast cancer very quickly. He and Cathy Tong, NP are amazing!
Dr. Shmorhun caught early prostate cancer when blood work showed no problem. My oncologist and surgeon was full of praise for any professional sensitive enough to catch that particular early malignancy before a biopsy. Dr. Shmorhun also caught my wife's breast cancer very early. Her oncologist described her cancer as extremely aggressive. As the son of an MD in family practice I am critical about health care. I hope Dr. Shmorhun practices until he is an old man. He is my doctor for life
