Cherie provided good tax guidance, made me more confident than Turbotax. Cost more than advertised. She kindly offered simply to do a review of what I had done myself on Turbotax, but I ended up having her complete the return.

Hi Ian, thanks for your review. Thumbtack provides a base quote for taxes because everyone's tax situation is different. The price was a little higher due to the fact that you weren't able to provide a print out of the 1040 that was on Turbo tax, this created more work. Additionally, I had to go through 40+ separate documents. All-in-all, I enjoyed working with you and your wife.

I usually do my own taxes. Newly retired, having lived in 2 states and with other complications, I opted for a professional this year. So glad I found Cherie at FIRM1040. She not only knows her stuff, she's SO nice! Professional and efficient, ready to answer questions and suddenly all of the complications melted away. Hope she's available when I next need a tax pro! Cherie was very detailed in her explanations and just a nice person to deal with. She helped me with some difficulties I had been having due to working in another state than where I live. Plus - she works quickly!! Would definitely recommend.

I was a bit uneasy about doing my taxes remotely for the first time especially since I was new in the area and our taxes were multi-state. But Cherie made the process easy. She responded promptly to my questions and allowed us ample time to review the forms. When I pointed out some changes needed, she was very helpful and professional about addressing my concerns and making the revisions. Highly recommend Cherie!
