Avoid them at all costs. They took money for utilities we didn't owe and over paid an account. They refused to fix this and said oh well I guess the new owners get some credit. They didn't check amounts on utility accounts before sending checks. They didn't send the insurance the closing statement so we got a bill instead of a refund for months after we didn't even own the house. They just half did their job and left a mess they are not willing to fix.
I just finished buying property in Bigfork and after 6 weeks I still had not received a signed set of documents even though I and my realtor had made numerous requests. Finally after a threat of legal action a set was scanned and emailed, however key documents were not signed by the seller and the Deed was not included. Do not use this escrow company unless you are prepared to babysit and double check on their progress and methods.
What a joke! They can't even be bothered to contact the insurance companies or counties for copies of bills to pay them from the reserve accounts that THEY HOLD. Do yourself a favor and find an escrow company that actually does its job.
My experience with Terri McBride at First American Title was absolutely the worst. As the executor to my mother's estate, I sold her home in Paul. I signed the closing docs early as I had to return back to my home in Georgia. I gave the access code to enter my mom's house to Terri and was very clear that access was not to be given to the buyers until we closed. Seriously question the positive reviews. They are highly suspect and likely written by employees. This company violated numerous regulations of conduct and ethics. They were dishonest, harassing, and incompetent. Believe nothing they say. It is privately held and they display no interest in or concern for the client.
