Slimy conmen who try to wring every last cent out of you.- Door-to-door salesmen are pushy, lie about neighbors signing up, and don't mention until right before you sign that the service is a multi-year subscription contract.- The subscription involves making monthly payments for quarterly service. First of all, they prey on people as I was moving into my new home in a new area with the moving truck parked in front. Super friendly and giving a great pitch song and dance, but then you have no clue what you have signed up for 2 years. They charge you monthly but come maybe 5 times. You wait on hold forever to talk to a real person. One time it was over an hour. I did call them when my yard had fleas and they told me it would cost extra and couldn't come out for a week. Very nice people, but this service costs a fortune. The price got raised this year and I wasnt notified. Ive had their service for 3 years and theyve always come out when scheduled. *** called and left messages about what new problems weve had and they were never addressed. I called to cancel and they want a $250 cancelation fee. This is like a time share! I have to keep paying for this service until I die???? Three years is enough! Don't waste your money or sign a contract. They don't come back unless you call them and even when you do, the pest are still there. Then you have to pay a cancellation fee to get out of the contract which stinks because they are not holding up their end of the contract.
Used them at my last home until I moved this winter. The work was abysmal. They showed up (sometimes) and spent about 5 minutes on the property before leaving. They also charged me a couple times for service when they never showed. Now, I am trying to restart my service at my new home and I have called 4 times over the past few weeks trying to get someone to call me back and I have not heard from any one. I wish that I could give a zero star review. After putting up with their two year contract I specifically gave them plenty of notice that I wanted to cancel any further agreement on 6/11/23. On 6/12/23 I noticed that they had charged my credit card for the monthly amount. I tried for weeks to get through to them to no avail. Finally I disputed the charge with my credit card company. This was one of the worst experiences I've ever had with a company. First, in order to come out AT ALL I was told that I would be required to pay for a monthly subscription. This was clarified after I had already been told by a technician that they should be able to make a one time service. I explained that I would be moving and didn't own the property anyways, and was told it would be very simple to cancel and they wouldn't charge me an early termination fee. Well, after reading all of these complaints, I decided to call and cancel the service with Fox Exterminator's. I was told by ****, a salesperson for the company, that my charge was dropped to $121.00 since I am retired and cant afford the full $400.00. He warned me to not tell anyone. My Mom was completely scammed by this company. Reading the reviews, it sounds like the same practice of being deceptive and taking advantage of an elderly person. the salesman came to the door, my mom said she would agree to ONE spray.
