Destination fee! There is a $25 destination fee per day that they don’t disclose until you get there. It’s for WiFi and have you a $25 credit to use at the bar, for breakfast, and/or mini convenience store. Sounds like a good deal until you see the breakfast is the same breakfast you can get at less expensive hotels for free! WiFi at said hotels is also included. In other words, Total bs fee! The hotel itself is fine. Good location. Oh parking is like $29/day.
The hotel is not impressive from the outside but our room says otherwise. It was clean and the staff were friendly.
We could hear people walking over our heads and talking in the room next to us so pretty thin walls and ceilings. My biggest issue is the $25 destination fee they implemented recently to make more revenue on top of the advertised rate. You can use the fee towards the bar or breakfast service but you have to watch it on the checkout because their process isn't flawless. Housekeeping is every other day, even when requested. Parking is 25 a night! that was not mentioned on Expedia upon reserving! The lobby had this weird fly infestation on the ceiling that was kinda gross!
Check in took a long time. The area is cute but kind of far from Harvard Square. The bed was really hard, and the walls must be kind if thin because we could hear everything from the rooms above.
