During Covid19 - called to get heartworm meds for my 4 dogs. They tell me they won’t give one dog her meds because she hasn’t been tested since 2018, even though since 2018 she has had Heartgard pills every single month... why should she test positive? Also they would not take her in for the blood test... they told me the government wouldn’t let them. Two weeks later they sent me a message that they continue to be OPEN as an essential business... they seem confused.
I was disappointed with my recent experience here. I was very concerned about my dogs health and called on a Thursday. Luckily they had an apt available so I went that day. The actual visit was good. I received pain meds and had blood work taken. I was assured that I would receive the results no later than Friday afternoon (the following day). The past 3 times that I go here, my wait is 1 hour long. My puppy was misdiagnosed with puppy pedemia (skin bacteria) and I paid for medicated shampoo and medication. It seems like she has a severe allergy. Now she has a skin scraping and nothing was found...She got put on a prescription food diet and is still severely itchy. Every visit is a minimum of $150. I was told it would cost $1,200 for allergy testing... I’m losing sleep over my dog itchyjng her self to peices and I’m tired of “trying” out something for the vets pro... read more
